Folk Inspirations — Violin, Clarinet, and Piano Join Pegasus’s principals — Ariel Horowitz, violin, and Yasmina Spiegelberg, clarinet — together with founder and artistic director Karén Hakobyan, piano, for a vibrant program celebrating folk traditions through the voices of 20th-century masters. Audiences will journey from Bartók’s vivid re-imagining of Romanian dances to Khachaturian’s and Arutiunian's joyful Armenian spirit, from Lutosławski’s bold modern reflections to de Falla’s fiery Spanish flair, and to Schoenfield’s lively Freylakh Trio — a dazzling celebration of Klezmer music.
This is the second session in a 3-part concert series presented by Pegasus: The Orchestra and DOROT.
